The Sheraton Hotels in Westwood, Florida, and Hilton Worldwide Resort in New Orleans are closing due to “a lack of available hotel room space,” according to a statement from Sheraton.
The hotels and resorts are also closing to the public.
Sheraton is closing Westwood hotel in addition to its other hotels in West Palm Beach and Orlando.
There are no other hotel closures.
The Sherson Hotels is located in the west Palm Beach County shopping center at 11700 NW 4th St. and is owned by Marriott International.
It is a short walk to the beach and is the largest hotel in the area.
Hilton Worldwide is located at 1120 NW 4TH St. in West Miami Beach, about an hour north of Miami.
It has more than 4,000 rooms.
The two companies announced the closings Monday.
“This is a very difficult time for all of us at Hilton Worldwide and Sheraton as we work to ensure that all of our guests can access the best of our hotel brands, including the Sheraton hotel brand,” the companies said in a joint statement.
“Sheraton is committed to helping its guests find the most affordable and convenient hotel options, and we are excited to be partnering with the hotels to further this goal.”
